Considerations when buying a forklift.

Purchasing a new or used forklift is an important decision for your operation. It’s essential for you to select the right machine for your specific facility and application.

Do you need a machine for indoor or outdoor use, or both?

From wheel options including pneumatic, solid pneumatic, and cushion tires,  to open and enclosed cabs we have a lineup of forklifts to suit your application.

What are the demands of your application?

Do you need to navigate narrow aisles? Lift heavy pallets to set heights? Considerations to account for when choosing a forklift for your operation include: what lift height is required, what your average load characteristics are, and what type of fuel (LP, diesel, or electric) suits your operation.

What’s your typical load weight?

What is the maximum reach and weight capacity your forklift will be tasked with? It’s important to select a forklift with the correct maximum lift height capacity. Most forklifts are designed for narrow aisles, with the cab acting as the counterbalance to ensure safe operation and product handling.

What’s your budget range?

Ask yourself this: Does it make sense to buy, lease, rent, or rent to own? Depending on the features needed for your application, projected operational hours, and internal resources, buying outright may not always be the right option. Talk to our team to find out what’s right for you and what finance options are available.

Does it make sense to rent first?

Forklifts are depreciating assets, especially if your forklift is running long hours, seven days a week. The decision to rent, rent-to-own, or purchase is specific to your application and the demands you’ll be putting on the machine. If you’re running an operation where your forklift is only operational a couple of hours a week, renting might not be the right choice for you. Unsure? We can create a plan for you.
